| Achievement Recognized | To encourage technical research related to the field of information storage and processing systems, among Mechanical Engineering graduate students across the world. |
| Limitations | Mechanical Engineering graduate students, pursuing thesis based research in areas of interest to the information storage and processing systems. The student should not have defended his/her thesis by the time that the fellowship is awarded. A graduate student is eligible to receive this award only once during his/her career. |

| Selection Process | The Awards Committee of the ISPS Division will decide the winner of the fellowship. The decision will be based on the following criteria: Conduct research in the area of information storage and processing systems. Demonstrate/promise significant theoretical/applied achievements in graduate research in the areas of interest of the division. Support letters from faculty and/or industry. |
| Funding Availability | The Graduate Fellowship consists of a monetary award of $1500 and free registration is funded ISPS |
