DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
(Unit of Award: Computers and Information in Engineering Division (CIE))

Date Established 2010
Achievement Recognized To recognize a person for dedicated service in support of the CIE Division’s mission.

This award will be presented every year.
Limitations The candidate must be an ASME member and be in good standing at the time of nomination. Current members of the ASME CIE Technical Committees and members of the Executive Committee are not eligible for the award.
Nomination Deadline April 15
Form of Award
(May be one or more of the following: Standard certificate, Honorarium, etc ..)
Wood plaque
The recipient will receive a certificate, which will be presented at the yearly ASME IDETC/CIE Conference.
Frequency of Presentation Annual
Administrator of Award The Computers and Information in Engineering Division
Recipients Selected By The selection will be based on the nominee’s service to advancing the mission of the ASME CIE Division. The selection of the winner will be made by the CIE Executive Committee.
Selection Process The nomination package should contain the latest curriculum vitae and a brief statement (not exceeding 750 words) on the nominee’s service contributions and impact. The nominator has to be a member of ASME.

Nomination materials must be submitted in a single PDF file by 5pm EST, on April 15, 2013 to John Michopoulos (john.michopoulos@nrl.navy.mil) and should be addressed to ASME CIE Distinguished Service Award Committee.
